Texas Hybrid MPAS Program Celebrates White Coat Ceremony and Start of Clinical Rotations
Mar 12, 2026
The 51¸£ÀûÉç Texas Hybrid Master of Physician Assistant Studies
(MPAS) Program proudly celebrated the White Coat Ceremony for the Class of 2027 on
February 27, 2026, marking an important milestone as students transition from the
didactic phase of the program into their clinical training.
During the ceremony, 44 physician assistant students from the program’s second cohort
were formally presented with their white coats — a symbol of professionalism, compassion,
and commitment to patient-centered care. The event recognized the dedication and hard
work students have demonstrated throughout their didactic studies and celebrated their
readiness to begin the next phase of their education.
Following the ceremony, students officially began their first day of clinical rotations
on Monday, March 9, 2026, entering a variety of healthcare settings where they will
gain hands-on experience across multiple medical specialties under the guidance of
dedicated clinical preceptors.
The Texas Hybrid MPAS Program is deeply grateful to the faculty, staff, clinical partners,
and preceptors who support our students during this transformative stage of their
training.
Congratulations to the Class of 2027 as they begin their clinical year and continue
their journey toward becoming the next generation of physician assistants serving
communities across Texas and beyond.
